Trump vs. America
July 16, 2018 at 11:57 pm EDT
By Taegan Goddard

Thomas Friedman: “Such behavior by an American president is so perverse, so contrary to American interests and values, that it leads to only one conclusion: Donald Trump is either an asset of Russian intelligence or really enjoys playing one on TV.”

“Everything that happened in Helsinki today only reinforces that conclusion. My fellow Americans, we are in trouble and we have some big decisions to make today. This was a historic moment in the entire history of the United States.”

“There is overwhelming evidence that our president, for the first time in our history, is deliberately or through gross negligence or because of his own twisted personality engaged in treasonous behavior — behavior that violates his oath of office to ‘preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’”

I favor 'tRump blubbers', though. It sums him up, on so many levels.

he reminds of obnoxious, spoiled people I've known in my life. Nobody really wants to be around them, so they have to buy their friends. One would never expect that such a person could grow up to become president.

They told him he was the little prince, and he went apeshit after that, always.

They wouldn't care if he did that to the help, but he must've done it to them, too.

...both of whom probably have their own Russian connections. The GOP as we know it sold their souls to the highest bidders. In the 1990's, it was the crazy-as-fuck evangelicals. In the 21st century, it's the Russians. I believe the GOP is virtually awash in dirty Russian money.

Kind of apropos that the "colors" of the Republican party are RED.
Mix the Yellow of the hammer and sickle (and Melania's outfit) with the Red of the old "Soviet" flag and you get Orange.
What color was tRump's tie?

long time foe after yesterday's 'Summit in Hell-sinki'.

I have an in-law vet that thinks Trump walks on water. Will this finally change his mind? Probably not.

I reminded him that Trump, like all Presidents before, pledged this oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
