at least for the half hour I watched MSNBC while drinking my coffee, there were cheers for Obama and one guy who was asked who he would caucus for and he said he was caucasing for Obama. Willie Giest who was interviewing him looked like a doofus (which I think he always does).
Mika even zinged Joe when the cheers for Obama went up. He jumped up and ran around the room to change the subject...but it was plain that these shows are not getting the Iowans they "thought" were the real deal. Serves them right.
Good for our brothers and sisters in Iowa!

(63,883 posts)there just aren't too many die hard conservatives in the audience at Java Joe's. I don't think that means too much, only that people are showing up there mainly because it has interesting guests and it is on national TV.
What I love is that Scarborough is treating the Java Joe crowd like they are typical of the hard core conservative wing of the Republican Party in Iowa. Now we are learning that this is not the case. So Joe's little narrative that he likes to weave on his show is really window dressing on the set, with the added fun of having some of the players either unenthusiastic about the republican choices or sorta for Romney OR they are Obama supporters!
I think Joe needs to rethink his narrative, at least as far as the Java Joe scene is concerned...and maybe not try it in New Hampshire (altho South Carolina might be another story...we'll see).
