story of the G.I. stationed in Poland at the end of WWII who decided to visit Chopin's home. There he saw a piano in the living room. Enthused, he sat down and began to hammer out "Chopsticks" when he noticed an elderly Polish guide looking puzzled at him. A little embarrassed, he said "I guess that everyone who comes here to visit sits down and plays something?". The older gentleman quietly told him "Not exactly, Sir. Jan Paderewski (the most famous concert pianist in the world at that time) was here recently and was asked to play the Chopin piano. He said that he wasn't worthy to touch it".
