IMO Putin is not going to mess with our 2018 election at the ballot box --- because that is where everyone will be looking. IMO it will be a calculated energy shut down of our power grid that will interfere with voting and getting election results in 2018 and Trump knows.

The goal will be to make the election results look so absurd that the Republicans can then step up and shout, "SEE? We TOLD you the Democrats were the ones rigging elections!!!" and then move to have the results invalidated and any further elections cancelled "until we can figure out what's going on."
