Trump's company missed deadlines to pay property-tax bills in five states over the past year — and those delays cost the company $61,800 extra in penalties, interest and missed discounts, according to government records and local officials.

I mean, losing money on not one, but two casinos in Atlantic City to the point where one was sold sold at a loss and another closed? And yet, Trump actually made money in the end (by cheating, of course).

...of what should have been a lot more. Trump and Steve Wynn did the exact same thing in the exact same way; overbuilt monuments to their egos that a twelve year old could easily show would never be paid for by the available activity in the markets where they were built. In both cases the ego monument eviscerated the business of their pre-existing successful property. And in both cases they managed to use the bankruptcy laws to slink off with enough money to try again, though not nearly as much as they'd have earned if they just built to scale instead of trying to be the bestest thing evar.

than us so-called “libs.” That might have been true back in the days of the “New Left” back in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s when there were genuine, accept-no-substitutes, honest-to-gosh socialists, but it ain’t now. Most Trumpkins are proving to be economic illiterates.

The Trumpsters who puzzle me most are the small contractors who presumably had a chance to hear stories about the Donald screwing over their colleagues during his building projects over and over again, yet voted for him anyway.
