Republicans in the Senate need a new leader. McConnell has been nothing more than impotent at the moment our country needs a Legislative Leader to put the brakes on a tyrannical and dangerous Executive. He has all the backbone he is ever going to grow. And it is lacking.
McConnell is unable to look for any bi-partisanship. Mostly because he has been nothing less than an asshole with rulings on judges, etc. He doesn't even make the effort.
But the effort must be made. This is no time to sit on our butts and do nothing. Republicans should change leadership - for the benefit of the nation. McConnell should go.

(14,490 posts)when he first lied his way into office. Even though we're all registered Dems, I recall them sending us campaign literature and it was packed with lies.
He's been nothing but 100% pro-business ever since, continues to lie and deceive at every opportunity and does not listen to his constituents (he meets mostly with selected choir members). He's the king politician of big tobacco and big health care.
My family always has and will continue to call to DITCH MITCH.......

(42,694 posts)Who do you think the Republicans should choose as their new leader? And how would that person be more effective in controlling the executive branch when it seems clear that most republicans in the senate have no interest in or willingness to "put the brakes on" Trump?
Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.
