John Cornyn: Russia was "unsuccessful in changing a single vote or affecting the outcome"

@saletan

Today on the Senate floor, the #2 Republican, John Cornyn, said of Russia's election interference: "Nobody disputes the fact that they were unsuccessful in changing a single vote or affecting the outcome."

That is an absolutely false statement.

it's almost a guarantee that it will eventually come out that votes were flipped to help Trump.

As I said many times before, just changing one vote in 100 from Clinton to either Trump, Stein or Johnson flips MI, WI and PA to Trump. (or even to blank/NA - weren't there a bunch of presidential ballots that had no vote for president in Michigan?)

If you flip 2 votes in 100 from Clinton to Trump, Stein, Johnson or blank, you also flip FL and NC to Trump.

Costs them a lot of money, time, and manpower.
They don’t only do it in America. They do it worldwide.
You know they have researched what results that their efforts have yielded.

They keep moving the goal posts. From "no interference" to "Putin didn't favor Trump" now to "well, yeah, they did it but the votes weren't affected".

"only a few votes were changed?"

Then, "Well, the vote hacking flipped MI, WI, PA, FL and NC to Trump, but it's too late to do anything now."

Then, "Well, calling for a new election isn't in the Constitution, it's not fair to Trump."

propaganda campaign.

I personally know a person who is not politically savvy in the least, and unfortunately, she did not make her mind up until she got into the voting booth.

She ended up voting for Trump because Hillary "yanks babies out of their mothers at 9 months".

I know another woman that did not vote for Hillary because she "has Parkinson's".

So Cornyn, kindly shut your Republican piehole.

12. New poll: 34 percent 'less likely' to vote for Clinton after new email revelations (Oct 30, 2016)
Fri Jul 20, 2018, 08:40 AM
Jul 2018
A poll released Sunday shows more than 30 percent of likely voters say they are less inclined to support Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton after revelations Friday about the FBI reviewing newly-discovered emails potentially related to Clinton's tenure as secretary of state.

The ABC/Washington Post tracking poll was conducted from Tuesday to Friday, which means the survey’s 1,781 respondents could only be asked on the final day about the revelations regarding the new emails.

Still, the poll found 34 percent of the respondents were “less likely” to vote for Clinton and that she now leads Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump by just a single percentage point, 46-to-45 percent, in a four-way White House race, with Election Day on Nov. 8.

Doesn't that show that voters were impacted?

That was about Clinton having a personal email server. If she had followed State Department protocol, the State Department Inspector General wouldn't have announced she had a personal server and thus no potential Comey announcement. I work with personal information and anybody at my company would be fired for using a personal email address to send work email.

Yes Russia no doubt helped use the server as a weapon, but the root cause of the problem was its existence at all.

Well, I know there are some leftists, liberals, and progressives who still believe Trump was democratically-elected. I have MAJOR doubts about that and always have. The more that comes out, the more I believe 2016 was stolen.

that the left still can’t get over trump winning over Hillary. We need to focus on interference and ongoing efforts. If Mueller finds evidence that voting machines were affected then we can say that but now it is not helpful to our cause.
