As we learn more about the tapes of Mr. Cohen, now is a good time to point out there are no words in the US Constitution that says @POTUS can't be indicted for committing a felony.

Let's say he's indicted. What would happen next? Where would he be tried? Garrett78 Jul 2018 #5
if it does happen it would be tied up in courts for years elmac Jul 2018 #6
For sure. I'm curious, though, what the process would be. Garrett78 Jul 2018 #7

in that case the jd "persuaded" GOP members to go for impeachment just by the threat of naming Nixon on an indictment. We know Nixon resigned when he lost his parties support and was pardoned by ford. I'm thinking tRump needs to be removed from office before he can be charged and if so, pense would probably pardon him if he can't pardon himself.

I'm so tired of the stupid Constitutional mental masturbation exercise of whether or not a sitting President can be indicted for a crime. Wouldn't that have been an obvious implication of the Founding Fathers' vision? Away with the King! No one is above the law of the land!

They probably said "Should we write in that even the President can be charged with a crime?", then laughed and laughed and laughed because it was so obvious, they didn't NEED to put it in.

It shouldn't even be a QUESTION whether or not someone -- anyone -- who commits a felony might just escape prosecution.

...impeachment should be pursued first. At least that's what I've read on this subject.

But I'm all for indicting a sitting president if that's what is called for.

needs to read up on the Constitution. He seems to believe this president cannot be indicted. Maybe that's the main reason trump picked him. hmmmmm.
