PA School District investigates teacher who wrestles as a Nazi

An elementary school teacher who also performs as a professional wrestler is under investigation for his act. Kevin Bean, 36, teaches 5th and 6th graders at an elementary school in Boyertown, Pennsylvania.

But he also works for a local wrestling promotion, World Wide Wrestling Alliance, where he plays a Nazi character named “Blitzkrieg the German Juggernaut.” He waves a flag with the German Iron Cross, yells “Sieg Heil” and raises his arm in Nazi salutes.

In a video posted by a journalist from Pro Wrestling Sheet, children hold signs and cheer for the Nazi. Dino Sanna, owner of the promotion, said the teacher is a “good guy” who is religious and “not hateful”. Sanna said the students cheering for the Nazi character were Bean’s students.

a wrestler's parody of Nazi behavior?

There's a rather large difference.

It's like claiming Monty Python's "Life of Brian" championed the cause of religion, or "Holy Grail" motivated young people to go on Crusades.

Not a good look, but jumping to the conclusion that they were cheering the nazi part would be premature.

Of course I question the wisdom of anybody doing a nazi gimmick at a small time wrestling show. He isn't going to make enough money at that to not have to have a real job and there is the potential for this sort of blow back for a cheap heat gimmick. What happened to threatening to beat up planted grandmas to get heat?

Is he paid so little that he has to pretend he's a weekend Nazi warrior?
