window using rope ladder. Vibes to one and all. Suspect was being pursued in a vehicle by police. He crashed and went into a Trader Joe's.

They just said the suspect was 'barricaded' not necessarily holding hostages per se (maybe that is a negotiation tactic). They say they don't know how many people are inside.

Later: over. Suspect turned himself in. One woman was killed. Vibes to her family and loved ones.
