A summary of how the GOP served Russia last week

President Trump had a one-on-one meeting with Russia’s Putin, then threw our intelligence and law enforcement communities under the bus when he should have taken his counterpart to the woodshed for Russian military intelligence attacking the 2016 election. In a later interview, Trump questioned the usefulness of NATO’s Article 5, which states that an attack against a member country is an attack against all member countries.

Congressional Republicans, for their part:
Refused to subpoena the translator in Trump’s private meeting with Putin to find out what verbal commitments the president may have made;

Refused to pass two motions in support of America’s intelligence community;

Refused to fund cybersecurity to protect the 2018 midterm election;

Protected the NRA’s dark money sources after a Russian female spy, who was in close contact with the gun rights’ organization and several notable Republicans, was captured last weekend;

Were silent during the time that Trump considered handing over our former ambassador to Russia, a private citizen like you and me, for questioning by Putin’s people;

Are silent about Trump inviting Putin to Washington, DC this fall.

These events happened from Monday through Friday of JUST LAST WEEK. They are not the actions of an innocent administration or a political party loyal to the United States. That's why we must take back America from Russia in the midterm election and vote out every Republican in office.

$30 million spent by the NRA on Trump by far highest ever.

If investigation into source of that money turns out to be Russia,

The Republican party is a criminal organization.

"Refused to subpoena the translator in Trump’s private meeting with Putin to find out what verbal commitments the president may have made"

A verbal, unwitnessed commitment is unenforceable. This seems to be true nowadays even when a commitment is spelled out in writing and has been signed by all relevant parties.

A subpoena is to try to find out just what the hell the two talked about.
