Putin summit puts spotlight back on Trump's tax returns

President Trump's tax returns are back in the spotlight after his private one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump's comments during a joint press conference with Putin on Monday alarmed lawmakers, leading some to wonder about the president's possible financial ties to Russia.

Democrats have since stepped up their calls to have Congress request Trump's tax returns from the Treasury Department in order to learn more about the president's finances.

"I think we have a cloud that hangs over this whole administration at this moment in time," said Sen. Mark Warner (Va.), the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

you must stop thinking twitler's personal tax returns will show anything.

it would take a team of 100 forensic accountants 10 years to investigate and piece together anything. the loopholes and tax laws in every country, every state, every bank account would be mind boggling.

every one of the entities in twitler inc has their own tax returns. his criminal accountants and lawyers start and stop, open and close companies, limited liability corporations and partnerships every day.

it would take looking at the income, and expenses, every receipt and check, and every person and other company involved to make any sense of each one. to put that all together and point a jury at a crime would take decades.

Mueller probably has evidence of crimes and his team has built a case, but the judge and jury had better all be cpa's and lawyers to nail the bastard. it's money laundry and fraud at the most intricate levels. is twitler smart enough to pull that off? not likely. but he has surrounded himself with the smarmiest of the smarmy to do it for him. but mostly he is counting on it being too complicated for the average investigator and he has deep pockets to stall and hide evidence. he has always counted on that. no one ever looked before.

his personal returns will show little if any income at all, and lots of losses to keep his tax bill low if not a refund.

personally i hope Mueller nails the s.o.b.

By knowing what he owns, we can find out what he owes. Maybe not who he owes money to, but we have to start somewhere. This basic info was promised to the American voters before the 2016 election. Remember?
