(22,032 posts)Thanks for all of your help, Mr. Comey.
You really stepped up for your country when she needed you.
By the way, thanks for the tweets. They really have an impact.

Before he attacked Trump, he did serious harm to Hillary.
Don't let your selective memory win.

Don't hate him, and sure don't love him either.
The long-lasting damage that right-winged court will cause unless Neville tRump;s choices on the court are removed, and there's no mechanism for that unfortunately.

(37,648 posts)Even Trump was surprised.
Everyone was surprised because...he DIDN'T win. Russia hacked it.
The polling data showed she was going to win. Her numbers didn't move much after the October surprise. Comey didn't do any serious damage at all. I think the public didn't react much to it because people were tired of hearing about the emails, and people were already dug in with who they were going to vote for. The country was very polarized.
Jill Stein did more damage than Comey did.

Ask yourself: "Why did Comey do this?"
No responsible American should ever stop asking, Why?

(7,220 posts)WHY was this lil' tidbit not mentioned???
Honeycombe8
(37,648 posts)Whatever Comey knew...remember that Obama knew, as well.
The reasoning why fbi didn't talk about the Russian investigation is that there is policy not to publicly discuss ongoing investigations. For Clinton's...it was already public, and was not ongoing.
Yeah, he screwed up. Who knows why he did that.
But that's irrelevant to this post. And he didn't cost Hillary the election. Not by a long shot. That's a scapegoat excuse. If his October surprise had damaged the polls, people would not have been expecting her to win. EVERYONE expected her to win, because the data showed that. Including Trump. That's why everyone was shocked.
People were shocked...because he didn't win. Russia hacked it.

Honeycombe8
(37,648 posts)He's FBI. He really is one of those nerds who is a straight arrow & tries to do his job in a neutral way.
And though he may be Republican, he's not a Trumper. He, like most of the country, probably didn't like the idea of Trump becoming President. But that didn't enter into his job.

Always ask: why did he add the reckless statements?
Being impressed with your own piety is the sin of vanity, a common conservative failing.

(37,648 posts)the way this tweet puts it is better, I think. Forms a picture in my mind of a loooooong list of people Trump has berated & criticized. Putin is not on that list.
