The word slumbering should always be included when describing the history the American people.

In one of the very first battles of the civil war, people from nearby brought their families, their children and picnic baskets to watch the show. They had no idea what was going on or what was about to happen. They woke up real quick, a little too late.

World War II was two years old before the American people were awoken out of their slumber. Once again a little to late. Yamamoto said it best, I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant.

Watergate, the American people slept through most of it. It wasn't until the tapes came out the American people finally woke up.

Whats happening now feels like one of those moments, doesn't it?

many people are on drugs - illegal and prescribed, that dull a person and keep them more self-centered. Cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. Than add the amount of time on the internet at sites focused on a particular view, not an overall discussion of facts. Brainwashing done by faux news and other sites to the point that people who will go bankrupt in agriculture, manufacturing, and medical bills will still support trump.

When I see the things that have already been tolerated, such as the racism and the kidnapping of children, I can't imagine what will wake people up.
