Putting Common Good Over Billionaires and War Profiteers, House Progressives Introduce

From the article:

Putting Common Good Over Billionaires and War Profiteers, House Progressives Introduce "People's Budget"...

Offering an ambitious alternative to the House GOP's "morally bankrupt" 2019 budget proposal—which demands over $5 trillion in cuts to Social Security, Medicaid, and other life-saving programs—the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) on Tuesday unveiled a budget that calls for massive investments in infrastructure, healthcare, and education while proposing significant cuts to the completely "out-of-control" Pentagon budget.....

While the People's Budget stands no chance of passing the Republican-dominated Congress, Jayapal noted that the CPC plan is a "moral document" aimed at articulating House Democrats' vision and priorities for the months ahead.

We need to keep repeating the message, for the benefit of non-voters, the 46% who did not vote in 2016, and for new voters as well.

Didn’t know and were spreading garbage about Dems instead of supporting their good policies. Ugh.

Wouldn't be the only thing they took & claimed as theirs.

There are other cases like this.

Or something. But in a system where the SCOTUS calls secret contributions free speech, what else should we expect?

you can have a good job, w a good 401k match that you make the most of, and a nice house, and you get to a million pretty quick. but that doesnt mean much more than being able to send you kids to college, and take care of elderly parents. maybe be able to take nice vacations.
it really doesnt go a whole hella lot farther than that, and if you lose that job, you fucked.

funding for states to transition to single payer
Taxing Wall Street
Raising tax on investments to match income tax
Money for high speed access
Debt free college
Investing $12.8 billion to address homelessness
Money for refugee resettlement programs

And so much more. A lot to read but I want to live in the world of this document.

But like every year that the Progressive Caucus puts out their budget - the media won’t talk about it. I don’t expect much coverage this time. Especially since it’s 24/7 Russia and Trump and Michael Cohen tapes.

A shame they can’t carve out some time to actually promote this. But then progressives are rarely asked to be on tv.
