Ivanka Trump has decided to shut down her fashion business in order to continue the work she’s been doing in Washington. Like what? Helping her tremendously unqualified husband negotiate the Middle East peace process which has forever been impossible to solve?

Or maybe helping her husband’s ex-felon father prosper in the real estate world? How about helping out all those “Women Who Work,” (her book title), and their kids which she’s so passionate about? How about helping her father to continue his feminist agenda?





Of her employees who actually will be losing their jobs, she wrote, “While we will not continue our mission together, I know that each of them will thrive in their next chapter.” What? Mission? Selling blouses and shoes is a mission?

Does her wish that they all continue to thrive include the workers in China who make her clothes for less than a buck an hour? The workers about whom, Bloomberg News wrote, work “12.5 hours per day, six days a week, which amounts to a monthly salary of just 2,500 yuan ($363).”
