It's just not in the budget for many Americans trying to make ends meet and support a family.

My SIL, a RWNJ if there ever was one, likes to go on Caribbean cruises where they can enjoy the weather and the sea but they hardly ever have to get off the boat and step foot in one of those shithole countries and mingle with the unwashed natives, or else they visit Europe and go on tours where they can see the sights while hanging out with other Americans.

travel, I would say yes, they travel and many quite extensively and intensely.

And when they do, they come back and complain about EVERYTHING...”couldn't get a decent cup of coffee” in Italy, “we were overcharged X Hundred Dollars” in Jamaica, (LOL!), and on and on.

It’s one major reason that their world is so tiny and their view is so narrow, IMO.
