'We Need Healthcare Champions, Not Puppets': Documents Expose Big Pharma's Scheme to Turn Democratic Candidates Against Medicare for All
From the article:
"Democrats running in a primary election will say they support 'Medicare for All,' but what do they say to lobbyists behind the scenes?" responded fellow candidate Kaniela Ing, a vocal supporter of Medicare for All and other progressive policies who did not meet with the healthcare industry lobbyists.

If you read the article, you know that this is a reliably Democratic District, with multiple candidates.

(31,109 posts)we need to remove the nazis, fascists, racists, killers and liars FIRST.
That could take a couple years or more.
We both know there is an agenda to muddy the waters to cause LESS support for the Democratic party that can WIN, as opposed to the bunch that cant or are less likely to win.

(16,950 posts)single payer is just one way to universal health care. Its time to be honest about the process and not bash/malign Democrats who want realistic talk about it. Targeting them with lies just helps the GOP, or others with a similar agenda of attacking Democrats. A puppet would just parrot inflammatory rhetoric, and weve seen too much of that already. Time for non-campaign rhetoric to take over.

(36,103 posts)I've also been curious about the 'crickets' heard on Medicare For All after several Democratic Senators threw their support behind it last fall
Sept 13, 2017
Sixteen Senate Democrats are flirting with a single-payer health-care system, marking a shift within the party on what was once viewed as a politically treacherous issue that attracted little support from lawmakers.
The Democrats are co-sponsoring a measure proposed Wednesday by Senator Bernie Sanders, a Vermont independent, that would expand Medicare coverage to all Americans. Thats a significant change from 2013 when Sanders, who lost the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination to Hillary Clinton, attracted no co-sponsors.
