(959 posts)for all these idiotic freak shows. I doubt if even 10 percent of attendees are true believers. The rest just want to watch the show and get paid. It's like having a walk on bit in a movie to them. As it has always been with Dump; ever since he sailed down the escalator with the sign waving people above him, each and every one a paid performer.

(14,961 posts)Actually came across it in the Space Coast section of Craigslist. At the time it was 100.00 cash, then changed to $100.00 worth of MAGA merchandise, then it was removed completely, back when the rule of law still mattered even just a little.
He is losing them painfully slowly. The "supporters" behind him Saturday night, I would be willing to bet 75% were paid plants.

Sounds just as much like recruiting for anti-trump presence at a pro-trump rally.

(49,825 posts)It's a recurring theme. Similar Craigslist ads appeared before rallies in Charlottesville, Orlando and Chicago and just as mysteriously disappeared.
Both the left and the right have accused the other of paying supporters and protesters to show up at political events. The companies that supposedly placed the ads denied knowledge of them.
Not even Snopes, a fact-checking website, could confirm whether the ads were true or false.
Calls from The Arizona Republic to the phone number associated with the post went unanswered. The Republic is reporting the ads to inform the public of possible misinformation.

(22,645 posts)Looks suspicious. You'd think there would be a trail of Humpty-dumpties bragging to their friends about making $60 to act. Too many loose ends.
Although, I don't believe anyone followed up on tЯump's campaign announcement paid actors.
Donald Trump Escapes FEC Punishment Over Paid Actors at Presidential Announcement
His campaign would later admit paying $12,000, but given the "modest" amount, the FEC is exercising discretion and dismissing a complaint he violated reporting rules.

DONALD TRUMP CAMPAIGN OFFERED ACTORS $50 TO CHEER HIM AT PRESIDENTIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
A CASTING CALL WAS SENT OUT LAST WEEK "LOOKING TO CAST PEOPLE FOR THE EVENT TO WEAR T-SHIRTS AND CARRY SIGNS AND HELP CHEER HIM IN SUPPORT OF HIS ANNOUNCEMENT"
New York-based "Extra Mile Casting" sent an email last Friday to it's client list of background actors, seeking extras to beef up attendance at Trump's event.
