National security expert John Schindler: Trump should fear 'assassination' by Putin if he stops bein

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/08/national-security-expert-john-schindler-trump-fear-assassination-putin-stops-valuable/

National security expert John Schindler, a former NSA analyst, argued on Thursday that President Donald Trump should fear assassination by Russian President Vladimir Putin if he becomes no longer valuable to the Russian Federation.

In a column for the Observer, Schindler writes that Putin “can do worse” to Trump than the impeachment proceedings he might be facing after special counsel Robert Mueller closes his investigation into Russia’s attack on the U.S. election system.

-snip-

“President Trump has more than mere kompromat to worry about here,” he says. “Under Vladimir Putin, Russian intelligence has embarked on a global assassination spree of a kind not seen in the Kremlin since Stalin’s time… [L]ess than three years ago, Putin’s operatives murdered in the heart of our nation’s capital, just a mile from the White House.”

“That message was hard to miss,” he adds. “Robert Mueller can open the door to Donald Trump’s impeachment and prosecution. Vladimir Putin can do worse and does not need to play by any legal rules.”

by the Russians?

4. No. Almost exactly 2 years ago v "less than 3"

I think it is this guy:
"The Washington DC medical examiner's office has just confirmed that former Russian press minister Mikhail Lesin died of "blunt force trauma to the head."

Lesin, who founded the English-language television network Russia Today (RT) was found dead in a Washington, DC, hotel room in November 2015."

2. well, that's helpful

helpful in making Donnie's head implode. I suspect that if Donnie ever really understands that there is no escaping Mueller, he will have some kind of a medical collapse/emergency that will require resignation...in the hopes that that "necessity" will enable him to escape accountability from all sides.

stupidest thing he ever did--in a lifetime of stupid shit--was run for president

11. Agreed.

You have to be MIND-NUMBING, ACHINGLY STUPID to do what Dotard did....he could have just kept to himself, his golf courses, his money-laundering properties and maybe, just maybe, flown under the radar. Instead, he chose to put a giant bulls-eye on himself and his RICO family.

The only explanation probably lies in his tax returns. He owes the Ruskies LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
And like the mob, Putin WILL get paid back. One way or another.

32. This is exactly what

The hubby and I concluded last year. Trump is an owned dead man, one way or another. But this slow process is allowing him and his crime Syndicate Republicans to tear the country apart.

I want him impeached, imprisoned, insolvent, and interred - Putin may take care of this last part, after he's out of office.

6. I question John Schindler's expertise.

I always have questioned it. Of the thousands upon thousands of former NSA analysts out there, myself being one of those, why does anyone listen to that blowhard? That's my question.

9. He has found a niche for himself.

He is able to convince some that he has "secret" knowledge. It's not difficult. I could do the same thing, but wouldn't. I know enough to be convincing but, like Schindler, I no longer have any access. He's selling his stories, but they aren't worth much, really.

Everyone knows that the Russians kill people for political reasons. So his story is a no-brainer. But, he has no actual information, any more than I do. He's just willing to say stuff that is plausible, even though he has no evidence for what he says.

8. How is Trump 'valuable' to Putin?

It's been two fucking years. What has Trump done that's so valuable?

Has he removed sanctions? Rescinded the Magnitsky Act? Pulled out of NATO?

He's more likely to be in danger if he made promises he can't fulfill, which would make Putin really, really stupid to have ever believed Trump in the first place

If you don't believe that EVERY SINGLE ACTION Dotard has taken (with the exception of forced Congressional sanctions) has benefited Putin.

26. Putin needs the sanctions lifted, that's all he cares about

Instead, the sanctions and Magnitsky's laws are multiplying all over Europe and the western world.
Big headache for the oligarchs - their stolen money is all tied up and frozen. What's an oligarch to do?

So yes, they do get rich from the asbestos sales, but the sanctions are costing them $ billions.

10. Putin doesn't have to assassinate him.

He can destroy him by releasing all the dirt he has on Trump. I strongly suspect that Putin has stuff on him that is so heinous, even most of his die-hard cult followers would be horrified. And, if anyone assassinates him, it's going to be some well-armed rube who figures out how badly Trump duped him and screwed him over. I have long said that the GOP's encouraging people to arm themselves up to the eye balls will eventually come back to bite them in the ass. It already did once with Mr. Scalise. It's just a matter of time before another one of them snaps and takes out a public official or two.

That, too. I would not be at all surprised if that's part of it. Some of the things I had in mind did involve other young women, or should I say girls. Statutory rape, human trafficking.... Were those girls in the pee-pee tape fourteen-and fifteen-year-olds? Did they do more than piss on him? Was he trafficking Russian hookers as part of laundering their money?

I mean, you gotta figure it's something akin to a political atomic bomb if it ever came out.

Then again, his Chumpkins will probably rationalize even that.

As I always say, if you want to know what republicans are up to, just look at the things they accuse others of doing. I'm guessing it's not the Clintons, Obamas, and other Democrats who are running a pedophilia ring.

Of course Putin has a plan and he will not stop.

20. I know that anything is possible but, come on...

I know that the US has assassinated or at least helped extensively in assassinations of national leaders. I know the Russians have also done so. However, we are talking about assassinating the president of the US (horrible as he is) during a time when the national attitude toward Russia is hostile, where there is evidence that they have interfered into our democratic processes. Putin would not be that stupid. It would not cause division or chaos like maybe some think it would. While those of us who despise Trump would not necessarily mourn his loss, we would certainly see any assassination as a direct attack on the US and our response would be significant. It would be a surefire way to unite the United States and likely the rest of the world against Russia and that is not what Russia wants.

Schindler is way off on this one.

28. Oh, there hostile towards Russia you say

than why were 2 men wearing t-shirts at his Ohio rally that said "I'd rather be a Russian then a democrat." Why are the trumpers defending him by saying he's just trying to get a better relationship with Russia and we're fine with that. Now as far as Putin not being that stupid, hell Putin knows how to get a way with taking someone out and keeping his hands clean. Everyone has to remember Putin is ex-KJB and they know exactly how to do just about anything.

Trump knows this thats why he's terrified.

29. Disagree. Putin is not all powerful. Yes, the majority of Americans are not friends of Russia.

Putin may not suffer significant consequences in a personal manner but Russia is straining against the effects of the Magnitsky Act and once Democrats regain power in government, Putin knows that Russia will be hit with major sanctions, that we will be mending fences with the EU. Russia's economy was in shambles because they are dependent on energy exporting as a main revenue.

We know Russia was behind the nerve agent attack, we know that they assassinated the owner of RT and it is irrelevant whether we say Putin knew and did it himself. We hit Russia with more and more sanctions and they will feel it. If there is ANY possibility that Russia would be involved in an assassination of someone in our government, there may be a tiny sliver of people who would defend it, but they are not in power and they would be irrelevant with regards to a government reaction to the act.

33. You think this would affect any votes?

These people are sick anyway.

Sorry, my friend, but after all the hanging nooses on front porches and in front of businesses with swinging black dummies and what they said about President Obama, I cannot give a FF what they say about us.

The ONLY way I could care about is if, in some way, it had some negative effect on the outcome of the election, which I seriously doubt it would.

Besides, TRump himself has all but called for journalists to be destroyed.

This:
"When news broke Thursday afternoon that a shooter had opened fire in an Annapolis newsroom, more than a few minds converged on the same thought: Donald Trump. The mythmaker in chief, who has vilified the media almost daily since becoming president, had made this day seem not just likely but any-day-now.

This shooting wasn’t “the” shooting many of us feared would come. But Trump, nevertheless, bears some responsibility for the incendiary rhetoric that has raised the heat — and the stakes — for journalists just doing their jobs.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/trump-has-made-it-a-verbal-open-season-on-journalists/2018/06/29/0d0f8090-7bcc-11e8-93cc-6d3beccdd7a3_story.html

I believe TRE45ON to be responsible for these five deaths. I do. So, he and the people who follow him, who support him, they can ESAD.

TRump needs to be impeached, imprisoned, insolvent, and interred.

But its one more way for him to vilify Dems.

Of course HE's responsible for all kinds of violence these days, and he's not being accused of the incitement. He is truly evil, and truly stupid.

I whole heartedly agree that the media needs to stop covering him 24/7, and deny him the attention he craves.

31. This sounds extremely far fetched.

I know Putin is willing to stir shit up, but assassinating dump would be a really stupid thing for him to do unless he can be sure that he can do it without being found out. If he wants to reunite NATO around a common cause, killing a leader of a NATO country would be one way to do it.

Putin can make dump useful in a variety of ways. If he isn't getting favorable policy out of Washington, he can goad him into causing trouble, or he can use dump as a mouthpiece for his propaganda talking points. He won't kill him and risk starting world war 3. That's just stupid.
