Rachel: GOP wants Kavanaugh confirmed before trying to impeach Rosenstein in case it goes to SCOTUS

Because of Kavanaugh's position on executive power, etc. They know he will rule in their favor.

SHe's talking about it right now in relation to the Nunes tape and going into a lot of detail about Kavanaugh allegedly lying under oath to get his last judgeship.

Rosenstein will not be impeached. Even in the very unlikely event that it passes the House, it then needs 67 Senators to also vote for impeachment, which is a non-starter.

...what Republicans really want is for Kavanaugh to be in place so that Trump can fire Rosenstein and Mueller, knowing that SCOTUS will not only back him up, but find special counsels to be unconstitutional, thus ending any investigation.
