Trump's "the smallest man ever to occupy the presidential office...an all-star national disgrace."

Laurence Tribe today, commenting on Trump's not mentioning John McCain today during his Fort Drum speech:

Trump’s failure even to *mention* this dying military hero in the event celebrating a spending bill *named* after @SenJohnMcCain proves that Donald is the smallest man ever to occupy the presidential office. He is an all-star national disgrace.

he'd have acknowledged and praised McCain, even though McCain was his rival for the presidency in 2008 and at the time criticized him pretty harshly - but Trump can't get past the fact that McCain has refused to kiss his ass like the other GOPers. Obama was and is a class act as a president and a human being; Trump, not so much.

But, of course, Obama would not have even dreamed of behaving like that, and the republicans are scum-sucking, treasonous cowards and hypocrites for staying silent over this.

Either of the Bushes, Reagan, Carter, Clinton, Harding, Polk, etc all the way back to Washington.

Any normal human being would do so. And barring being a normal human being they would have realized that it was just politically better for them to do so.

I get what you were saying and agree with it.

I was just adding that Trump not only falls far short of Obama, he falls short of every other President we have ever had.

of coming back and blessing someone who was particularly kind to them in life or getting payback for an especially cruel action against them for some self-satisfying or greedy reason. Free from the burden of his cancer, I have a feeling McCain could be pretty darned innovative in his choice of payback. Hopefully, he will give us a signal so we can share in his glee of a strike well done.
