Well, this is something.
Seventy percent of Americans support 'Medicare for all' in new poll
A vast majority 70 percent of Americans in a new poll supports "Medicare for all," also known as a single-payer health-care system.
The ReutersIpsos survey found 85 percent of Democrats said they support the policy along with 52 percent of Republicans.
Guess what Democrats will be running on in 2020!

(30,674 posts)1. If only we could get it up to 90% we'd get the action gun control is getting.
at 96%. That is to say who cares what the people want? We need single party authoritarianism. And they'll shove it down our throats. That's the usual way isn't it?
Our representative social democracy is gone with the wind.

Hope it isn't bipartisanship.
After 8 years of Dubya and his wars, "reaching across the aisle" is all we got from Democrats.

It's wonderful!! As a Canadian, I will never take it for granted . It will save lives and money, so why not? Any initial pain, like road construction, would be worth it in the end. You all deserve this. It would be like a payroll tax that employers pay, or you would pay or the government would pay, depending on the situation. Go for it.
