Drug overdose in Ohio jail in Chillicothe

https://www.chillicothegazette.com/story/news/2018/08/29/ross-correctional-institute-chillicothe-prison-ohio-opioids-fentanyl-inmates-officers/1132218002/

Makes one wonder just how much of the drug problem is law enforcement.
I thought with the amount of people envolved it would have made national headlines.

1. Maybe that's where that meth they found in the mountain has

Went. Huge meth/heroin issues there, (I love Ohio, my husband's family are from Oh, as was my mother's) I just know many people from there that have thrown away bright futures because of addiction to these drugs.

2. Drug companies

The tri-state area was used as test market for oxycodone. The fact that drugs and drug fronts are the source of income for most families.

3. Chillicothe is one messed-up town

I lived there in the late 70's for only a few months. It felt like one giant insane asylum. I had a cashier at a liquor store ask me if I needed any Quaaludes LOL

4. The bizzare nature of the exposure should have made headlines.

In side a jail, and somehow the people who responded with assistance (inmates and guards) were also impacted merely by being around patient zero.

(I thought I heard it on an NPR news report - but since I'm in Ohio, it could have been local)
