A lot of conservative politicians have said they are big fans of Ayn Rand and her doctrine of selfishness, but that conflicts with a lot of ideas in the Bible like "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Which one should trump the other?
Also, based on their track record, which one do they seem to believe in more?

(109 posts)Thanks to the info you provided here, I was able to post the following answer to that Yahoo question:
"This is a really outstanding and timely question. Knowing what politicians are like, however, I think it foolish to listen to what any of them SAY. Their ACTIONS say infinitely more about them than their WORDS. When it comes to Republicans. It would be much more accurate to say that "A lot of conservative politicians have said they are big fans of" JESUS than of Ayn Rand. It their ACTIONS that scream loud and clear that a great many of the leaders of today's Republican Party "are big fans of Ayn Rand".
The more that Republicans who claim to be "Christians" are forced to FACE that fact, the more they wiill either stop claiming to be followers of Christ, or stop following the G.O.P, i.e. Ayn Rand's Party, as I show in great detail at The Godless Conservative Party.org (see below) .

(109 posts)"If conservatives were true followers of Christ, they'd be liberals."
That's the whole point that my http://LiberalslikeChrist.Org/ has been making on the ww for the past 15 years, i.e. "Christians" should be liberals, just as Jesus was, (and "Liberals" who really know what Jesus was all about LIKE him.
