How the black vote carried Andrew Gillum to victory

Andrew Gillum’s campaign always said to count on black voters.

On Tuesday, the Tallahassee mayor’s upset win proved him right.

Gillum’s friend-turned competitor former U.S. Rep. Gwen Graham won the vast majority of counties across Florida in the state’s Democratic primary for governor. But Gillum was able to win where it mattered — which also happens to be where more Democrats are black.

The map below shows Gillum did best in huge counties like Duval and Broward, while Graham won small and medium counties across the state and dominated the vaunted Interstate-4 corridor.

that we need ALL Democrats to turnout if we hope to win!

Anyone remember who was missing in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania?

I know, right?? Apparently... from what I've read... most black voters were unaware that Bernie had jumped on the bandwagon.

Also, Rachel's analysis and Lawrence's analysis clearly shows that it was Gillum's message that brought the voters to his side.

I'll never understand why it is that some people are so eager to take credit for the hard work of someone else.

I'd suggest it's because that's who they are--coat-tail surfers.

It was said yesterday that millenials put Gillum over the top and I'd love to see proof of that because it would be such an awesome trend for the future.

while the AA vote was solid for Gillum, so he pulled out a win. Without Levine and Green, Grahm would have had an easy victory.

It still remains to be seen if Gillum can win the independents. DeSantan is such a crazy tRumper that some independents may simply vote against him. If so, Gillum has a chance.

Despite the Bernie fanatics desperately trying to convince us otherwise.
