WASHINGTON (AP) The Trump administration is withholding more than 100,000 pages of Brett Kavanaughs records from the Bush White House on the basis of presidential privilege ahead of the Supreme Court nominees confirmation hearing.
The Senate Judiciary Committee was notified of the action Friday. George W. Bushs attorney Bill Burck told the panel it had essentially completed its work compiling documents, according to a letter obtained by The Associated Press. Bush directed them to err on the side of transparency and disclosure, and we believe we have done so.
But the current administration is also able to review the records, and the Trump White House has directed that we not provide these documents, the letter says.
In all, 267,000 pages of Kavanaugh documents from his Bush years are being made public.

Why would they stop now? In the past 50 years, out of 18 Supreme Court appointments, 14 have been made by Republicans. They are on a mission.

about Kavanaugh that Bush and his lawyers are good with sharing?" "What is Trump trying to hide that Bush said could be released?" "Trump is anti-transparency and he's trying to stop the American people from knowing what a candidate for THEIR SCOTUS stands for."
If the Republicans don't push for those records too, Dems need to glue this to their butts too and say that they're anti-transparency.
