Putting her officially in the Line of Succession will be the First, Small Justice that can come out of this HACK of our Democracy, and mark my words it will scare the bejeezus out of Trump, his criminal cabinet and every GOP senator lucky enough to have survived the Blue Wave.

If they wanna let Nancy actually run the show and make the day-to-day decisions from a position as majority whip and just allow Hillary to stand as a figurehead, I have no real problem with that, either.

But i think she deserves to be in the Line, just in case there's a way to remove trump AND pence.

The major point at the moment is to "get back to normal". If there was a sudden "screw common sense and all established precedent, we'll have an unelected Speaker" move, then the Republicans in the Senate would say "no way are we voting to convict Trump in impeachment proceedings".

Pelosi would be a fine president, if Pence turns out to be removeable. There's no need to make it look like the Clintons secretly control everything after all.

It's worth starting these efforts, especially any constitutional amendments. But we're not passing any good laws until democrats regain the White House.

Donnie doesn't care how corrupt it looks.

After 2020, *then* we can put this into law.

Until then, the main focus should be regaining control

Then get all of Puerto Rico back on the electric grid.

Not sure if there is anything they can do to prevent Kavanaugh, but if there is they should do it.

Then do whatever they can to legislate the safety of the Mueller investigation.

Then we can talk about the rest if it.

Infrastructure bill, student loan reform, green energy initiative - any of these three, in addition to the investigation of the election interference and corruption in the campaign.

Trump is always hungry for a win. He might sign a democratic bill if it got to his desk, even if he's being investigated. Do like Republicans do - use that lack of political capital to leverage some legislative wins.

Not concerned about who the speaker is. I am interested in bringing forward a legislative agenda that is forward thinking and builds momentum for 2020.

anyone who deliberately deprives another valid voter, should lose their right to vote for the rest of their lives.

Also apportion legislators based on number of voters...not based on bodies.

38. The FIRST thing we need to do...
Sun Sep 2, 2018, 02:40 PM
Sep 2018

Write a law that will stop Uday, Husay and Jarvanka from having any role in this White House.

Next, we need a law that will prevent the president from selling goods and services to the government at a profit. So...say...if the president decides to golf on his own course, he has to provide the Secret Service carts at no charge, rooms at a reasonable rate that covers utilities and housekeeper labor, and food at the cost of ingredients plus utilities and labor.

Then we need to completely rethink the way presidential participation in down-ballot campaigns is funded. The way the law is now, Trump can go to Texas to do a Nazi rally for Carnival Cruz, visit a school, and use the school visit as proof the trip needs to be paid for by the USG. Under my new plan, we will look at how much of the trip was spent on each thing. When the president is “on official business” for less time than he’s in a makeup chair getting prepared to rouse some rabble, the trip needs to be paid for by the candidate, or by Trump.

with i's dotted and t's crossed, so the people can clearly see what we can do with a trifecta victory in 2020. Affordable health care for all, Dreamers permanent status and path to citizenship, humane immigration law, shore up social security and Medicare, affordable education, infrastructure investment and jobs, paid for by taking back the 1.5 trillion the Republicans stole from us with their tax scam. Real, detailed proposals that voters can digest the benefits and the costs.

We won't have the votes to get them through into law during 2019 and 2020, but we can at least make it clear to everyone how the country will benefit from a Democratic controlled Congress and White House.

And we should do that like s house on fire.

And also pass lots of bills supporting policies Americans support. Nothing we pass will because law. But it will stake our claim.

Reactively we can stop any trump supported laws from being implemented.

Sadly, I predict now that if we win within 3 months there will be multiple post on DU trashing democrats for not ‘doing enough’. Even though we will not have the power to pass anything
