GOP Unacceptable in Every Way

In politics, it all comes down to what’s acceptable and what’s unacceptable.
That's the lowest bar.
We must learn—and quickly—to accept nothing less from politicians than their absolute best in terms of service and integrity.
In the eight Obama years of obstructionist Republican racism and now in nearly two years of the systematic dismantling of our culture, our society, and our shared reverence for the common good, we feel vividly, and at times helplessly, the full physical weight of the unacceptable on shoulders that deserve far better than this.
Republicans vomited up toxic Trump, the perfect embodiment of what their party has become. A man in every way unacceptable and damned proud of it. At any time in the primary process, the GOP could have shut this sad little man decisively down.
In that, they failed massively.
And now, they have devolved further into abject toadyism. Craven cowards they are, whatever souls they may once have had now completely lost.
The dangers in Trumpian Republicanism are legion.
The longer we allow it to persist, the longer the young grow into political awareness with these monstrous models of hatred and divisiveness in power.
Our court system, already defiled and compromised by the GOP’s open defiance of the rule of law, is at serious risk of being packed with right-wing fanatics. And we cannot afford another Trump appointee to the Supreme Court.
We’re witnessing creeping authoritarianism, the gradual drift toward normalizing the abnormal and horrendous.
Our planet itself is dying of neglect, greed, and dishonor.
Science, astoundingly, is being ignored, denigrated, and despised.
And with every day this madness continues, the massive task of undoing it all and restoring even minimally our true America becomes more and more daunting.
This is unacceptable.
Refuse to accept it.
Work urgently to overturn this evil.
The more of us join in this effort, the more quickly we can restore our nation.
