They were talking about the comments that DeSantis had on Gillum.
One black commentator (don't know his name, but I have started seeing him) said that al he had to do was apologize, that was asll he has to do. ... along woth saying that he didn't mean anything by it


i was a little surprised that nothing more wasss said by either him or the host (I don't remember who was hosting at that time, I feel sure that if it was Joy - who I am watching now - she would have said something)

I amwhite, but to me, saying that he didn't mean anything by using those words just mean that is wher he goes automatically: racist dog whistles aare his default.

Seems DeSantis is purposely playing to the white wing voters who gripe about Political Correctness and such as part of their hatred ideology. Of course, playing to white wing voters has always been big among GOPers in recent decades.

But, you can't claim you made a mistake if you aren't even willing to admit you should have said it differently and will not do it again. I wish I could say that DeSantis has hurt himself in terms of overall votes, but this kind of stuff attracts white wingers. Darn sure worked for trump.
