Thank you for being a part of the resistance, but please don't run for POTUS.

(31,950 posts)that he's holding a resistance rally at the exact same time as Dump's. We ought to be holding more rallies. Don't let the Deplorables get all the attention!

(85,984 posts)...this is an old story. Adequately responded to by Avenatti, in the article posted.
There hasn't been even a hint of noise about this since it hit the tubes.

That's separate from the unpaid taxes.

"It is politically motivated and they have their facts all wrong. I owe nothing personally," said the pugnacious lawyer, who sprung to national attention earlier this year for his aggressive advocacy on behalf of former porn star Stormy Daniels in her legal showdown with Trump stemming from an alleged sexual encounter in 2006.
Avenatti did not elaborate on the political element he sees in the tax action, but Shariff works for U.S. Attorney Nicola Hanna, a Trump appointee and former federal prosecutor confirmed to the job in April.

Not sure why this is considered 'baggage.'
Avenatti is disputing the debts right now. At some point this wealthy man is going to resolve these claims. So much about nothing.

(58,724 posts)It is a different firm from his current law firm but it was still his law firm.
Could be potential baggage for him - or not.
Personally, I would prefer we went with someone who has held elected office.
