They can decide what a high crime and misdemeanor is, and if they decided that gaining that office pursuant to a coup counted, they could.

However, I very much doubt they would do that, particularly not without 67 democratic senators.

And it would take 67 Senators voting to remove a Judge.
Highly unlikely you would get that number.

It's as likely as Trump waking up tomorrow and deciding to withdraw Kavanaugh's nomination and instead nominating Garland.

In other words, it is theoretically possible and absolutely impossible from a practical standpoint.

That was Samuel Chase, in 1805. Some federal court judges have been removed from office over the years but in all of those cases they had been involved in some serious crimes, usually bribery or fraud.

Alcee Hastings, a federal judge impeached and removed for bribery, now represents Florida's 20th district. Great job Florida's 20th voters!

Exhibit A: Jeff Sessions - deemed too racist to be a federal judge, but he got elected to the Senate and then was appointed Attorney General by the most corrupt president in the universe.

a corrupt act of its own (agreeing to enter into a patronage relationship -- spoken or unspoken, doesn't matter, that's what it is -- and whether or not you later hold up your end doesn't absolve you of the original misdeed) worthy of removal, it is inconceivable that you could actually get 2/3 of the Senate to go for it.

Technically possible, total pipe-dream.
