NBC FAKE NEWS, which is under intense scrutiny over their killing the Harvey Weinstein story, is now fumbling around making excuses for their probably highly unethical conduct. I have long criticized NBC and their journalistic standards-worse than even CNN. Look at their license?

And the conduct of the owner of licensed stations can be a consideration in whether those licenses should be renewed/revoked/granted.

That being said, it would be highly improper for the FCC to take into account editorial and content matters in considering an entity's eligibility to hold broadcast licenses and even more improper for a President to suggest that the FCC should do so.
