Overheard in rural America...

I was in a local pub tonight - a few known deplorables downbar. I'm good with these guys - but a known commodity.

Just overheard - but interesting. I stayed out of it.

They sounded frustrated.

Two were Govt/Mil base civilian employees - they sounded pissed about not getting a pay increase.

Like - really not happy. They seemed doubtful..."concerned" if you will.

And they really didn't seem all that impressed with Kavenaugh. Negativity from these guys was not expected.

Now - these guys are actually some of the smart ones. And might be the first to figure it out. Engineery-types.

Another, dumber America-hater guy was pushing the NFL thing - "Kapernicks wife is devout Muslim - that's why he did it." - "They decided not to air the National Anthem this year - they caved."

The Mil-base guys seemed like they didn't even want to hear it...like they were tired of it, and just wanted to watch some football.

The tides might be slowly turning...but a hard rain's gonna fall!

or military base has seen both civilians and military run to the nearest door as the flag is being raised and the national anthem starts up so they can avoid stopping in place and standing through the song.
