no. you're not part of the resistance. You're a coward

http://www.latimes.com/opinion/la-ol-enter-the-fray-no-you-re-not-part-of-the-resistance-1536182473-htmlstory.html#nt=card

If they really believe there's a need to subvert the president to protect the country, they should be getting this person out of the White House. But they're too cowardly and afraid of the possible implications. They hand-wave the notion thusly:

“Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president. But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis."
How is it that utilizing the 25th Amendment of the Constitution would cause a crisis, but admitting to subverting a democratically elected leader wouldn't?

The truth is, Republicans don't want Trump out of office. They're clearly pleased with this “two-track” arrangement. They're advancing the right-wing economic agenda that President Jeb Bush or Ted Cruz would have been championing while preserving their popularity with Trump's base.
If you're reading this, senior White House official, know this: You are not resisting Donald Trump. You are enabling him for your own benefit. That doesn't make you an unsung hero. It makes you a coward

Precisely. Color me also unimpressed with the author of the NYT piece.

"Oh, hey kids, there's been an anonymous coup. But don't worry, because people you don't know will get what they want done."

It's the only way they can have power, they used Trump to get into the White House.

Now there's a REAL witch hunt inside the WH. How much power and control do these people have today compared to before writing the OP ed?

There has to be another reason.

Maybe they know the house is on fire and they want to be able to claim they were trying to thwart the arsonist. Lest they be accused of arson themselves.

story flames out like a comet...they lose credibility and their sec clearance. this way theres a perceived group in there who SAYS they are trying to keep America together...no one person for trump to rant about and this way he doesnt know WHO these ppl are and thats gotta be eating on him allll the time. Stress is not good for a man of his size or age..

this secret group is no longer secret. Trump has every right to hunt them down and fire them and replace them with people like Steve Bannon.

The identity of the author will come out, soon enough. Meanwhile, additional pressure is mounting for the ouster of trump, and his lack of anything close to mental stability is on display like never before. Suits me fine.
