I'm beginning to think there is more to the op ed story than is what there?

No one wants to stand up to the turd. No one can tell the truth. Amazing that they are now breaking their silence now! Why? To save the country? From who? The blue wave? Am I crazy?

Anonymous is fully supportive of the Trump regime's agenda. Just a tad worried about the buffoon behind the curtain.

CYA doesn't quite cover it, especially because it's anonymous.

I don't buy the coup assessment. It's not as if they're planning to overthrow trump and install Hillary. They want trump gone so they can achieve their evil agenda without interference and chaos generated by their Dear Leader.

Anonymous is not part of what we in the reality-based universe generally regard as the resistance.

Frankly, I'm not sure what he/she intended to achieve, but what we have is even more instability and chaos as a result. Hey, maybe that was the plan. Who the hell knows? Putin has to be having a grand time in Moscow.

It's more than one person. They see the potential for a congressional takeover and are covering their tracks.

Then, when the still dispute the actions of a dem congress (or just the House) they maintain their conservative cred, but can avoid the embarrassment of investigations by being able to say "We knew. We admitted as much."

The house of cards is starting to tumble, and take, besides rump, those in Congress that enabled him too...

There is only so much one can take before ignoring his tantrums totally. For some, it didn't take any time. For others, I wonder if their eyes are glued shut.

I thought that he was such an accomplished player in the world of high finance and the like, and that he alone, can do it all!

Boy, were we wrong!

why the op-ed was written. Why would a true member of the resistance blow their cover? Until the identity of the author is revealed, I believe their motivation should be suspect. This is a person or persons who are making calculated decisions about what the Dotard sees, what he signs, who has access to him among other things. Who is influencing this person or persons? What is the payoff? There's always a payoff - especially for taking risks like this. I'm not just talking about monetary payoffs. I'm not about to trust that this is some altruist just trying to save America from a monster. This is someone or several people who joined the tRump maladministration in the beginning for a reason. Probably because they supported him. I'm not convinced this person or persons have our best interest at heart...yet. I need lots more information.

Is what makes the most sense to me. Sessions not only feels stabbed in the back but also feels that his days are numbered. There is probably a lot of truth in the memo, but it doesn't make sense to release it and reveal themselves to the POTUS. What does make sense is that Pence wants to be potus. He sees the polls now below 40 and sees Mueller closing in. He doesn't want to go down with the ship. So, he goes to Sessions to hatch plan. Trump will probably fire sessions after midterms. Maybe Pence offered Sessions VP after Trump resigns.
