Right-wing conspiracy mongering and not very original at that. The only thing new is that Ed Henry didn't name George Soros.

Article title: Fox News's Ed Henry claims without evidence that protesters at Kavanaugh's Supreme Court hearing were paid to be there

............offering to pay people $15 per hour to attend and be "enthusiastic" at Trump's rally in Phoenix. It also said they needed people to hold up pro-Trump signs. I'd post the photo, but for some reason I can't link to photos on Facebook.

"Many of the groups have helped volunteers cover the costs of traveling to Washington and the fees associated with being arrested.

Winnie Wong, a senior adviser to the Women's March, told CNN on Thursday that the group has paid for members' travel, accommodations in Washington, legal training, and bail."

Of course, I realize there's a significant difference between 'reimbursement' and 'payment' ... but I have to say I'm a little bit dismayed that our side has opened itself to at least somewhat legitimate criticism in this matter.

Supposedly the other side has video of someone getting cash handed to them outside Capitol Hill ... and then going inside and getting themselves arrested.

If true, this is NOT a 'good look', IMHO. Ill-Advised, at best.

I understand pulling out all the stops in a situation like this, but surely there were enough local (and/or willing to pay their own expenses) people who'd have been willing to go in and make the requisite 'scene', without folks on our side having to shell out $$$ to them for ANY reason ... let alone, cash money outside the damn Capitol.

I really really hope to find out that this did not actually happen, put it like that.

12. You'd be better off pointing out that the Tea Party turned it into standard practice

This always loops back to "they pay shiftless layabouts on Welfare to show up but we're honest citizens making our voices heard". Cut that off at the pass by highlighting that they did it on an even larger scale.

Granted, that won't sway any RWers because they suck on BS like it was throat lozenges, but you have to put it out there for the great many people who never knew that part because it didn't get highlighted when the teabaggers were in the news.
