For me, sports is about having fun. Why should I wig out and destroy something. I realize Serena's situation is far different, sports for her is a job. But even in my work, I don't get mad and destroy stuff.

Probably lots of people couldn't afford a racquet at.all, and that one was probably very expensive. I remember when they ran over a French horn on "MASH" once and I was wistful, because I wanted my own and we couldn't afford it.

Even among the kids who got free rackets and a bunch more in their bag, I never saw anyone angrily wreck a racket.

and my poor trailer park-living ass would have been shit outta luck had I destroyed my only racquet.

I’ve also never flipped a table or thrown my dice or miniatures during a wargame, though I’ve seen both things happen more than once. Nerd rage is as sad as jock rage, perhaps more so because the stakes are even lower.
