Sarah Sanders defends Trump by contradicting him on GOP prosecutions: The president thinks no one is above the law
https://www.rawstory.com/2018/09/sarah-sanders-defends-trump-contradicting-gop-prosecutions-president-thinks-no-one-law/
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders insisted on Monday that President Donald Trump thinks no one is above the law.
At Mondays White House briefing, Sanders was asked by ABCs Jonathan Karl about Trumps assertion that the Justice Department should not prosecute Republican candidates during an election year.
The president thinks no one is above the law, Sanders said. What he would like to see is a fair playing field, that there also be there have been a number of concerns raised about individuals both in the FBI and the Department of Justice that have been ignored and we would like to see those looked at as well.
Sanders, however, argued that she could not weigh in on Karls question because it dealt with an ongoing investigation even though Trump had initially tweeted about the matter.

(25,242 posts)1. The Logical Follow-Up Question Would Have Been.....
If the president thinks no one is above the law - does that include himself?
I would have like to have heard her answer to that.

"I haven't spoken with the president on that subject. If I do, I'll let you know, but I can't answer that question at this time."

I have been gone most but not all of the morning until now. He really said this? How did I miss this! I want so badly to laugh but laughing time passed some time ago.

So no, we have no video of him saying that. And wouldn't surprise me if that isn't what he thinks.

(34,106 posts)7. Thanks, that sounds just like him.
While she is a liar and a BIG one, it would seem unlikely she would speak for him like that but then......who knows? I bet you are right.
