Blase lying. Shock that there are records of these things and it can be proven one way or another. Digging in. Switching gears and admitting it and moving on.

When I got to that page it just struck me. Trump is such an extreme liar that he can’t keep his story straight from one sentence to the next!

Tell a big enough lie, and the credibility of everything else you say topples. I don't feel compelled, for instance, to refute every Facebook meme out there. It's enough to know that Facebook is a sewer of mendacity.
