Where were Clinton, Trump during 9/11 attacks?

At a Columbus, Ohio rally last November, Trump said he watched the towers fall from his New York City apartment. "Many people jumped and I witnessed it, I watched that. I have a view — a view in my apartment that was specifically aimed at the World Trade Center," Trump said. "And I watched those people jump and I watched the second plane hit ... I saw the second plane hit the building and I said, 'Wow that's unbelievable.'"
However if Trump was residing in Trump Tower, which reports around the time suggest he was, he would have been a full four miles away from the attacks.
Perhaps, Trump conflated footage he watched on television with something he viewed firsthand. Trump has admitted mistakenly interpreting news footage in the past — with regards to money being delivered to Iran — and he has infamously said he watched footage of Muslims in neighboring New Jersey celebrating that day, an assertion that has been repeatedly discredited.

Rudy Giuliani Falsely Claims Hillary Clinton Lied About Being In New York On 9/11

The former New York City mayor said Wednesday that he heard the Democratic presidential nominee “say one day that she was there that day,” at Ground Zero after the attacks on the World Trade Center towers.

“I was there that day. I don’t remember seeing Hillary Clinton there,” he told the crowd at a Trump rally in Ocala, Florida, during a long rant against Clinton. “Don’t tell me you belong to our very, very tight group of ‘Never Forget.’”

Giuliani was right about one thing: Clinton, who was a New York senator at the time, was not there on the day of the attacks because she was at the Capitol in Washington D.C., near the Pentagon, which was also under attack on 9/11.

However, as The Washington Post points out, Clinton flew to Manhattan the very next day on one of the few government planes that were allowed to travel. She was even photographed alongside Giuliani as the two toured the aftermath in Ground Zero.

Allies was also struck by how Clinton quickly grasped the potential health risks of Ground Zero, and how doggedly she pursued treatment for those who suffered.
