Potential link between a Dallas cop and the innocent man she gunned down in his own apartment

.

And here I thought their connection might have been romantic. Well, it turns there was a connection . . .

Amber Guyger, 30, had just finished a 15-hour shift when she claims to have accidentally approached the wrong apartment, where she found her door ajar and shot at a “large silhouette” that turned out to be her neighbor, a successful young man named Botham Jean, who she killed.

Guyger has been charged with manslaughter, but an attorney for her victim has pointed to several inconsistencies, including neighbors saying they heard a female knocking and shouting “let me in” before the killing.

The attorney for the victim, S. Lee Meritt, appeared on CNN Tuesday where he was asked by host Brooke Baldwin whether there was any connection between the two.

“The only connection we have been able to make is that she was his immediate downstairs neighbor,” Meritt said. “And there were noise complaints from the immediate downstairs neighbors about whoever was upstairs, and that would have been Botham. In fact, there were noise complaints that very day about upstairs activity in Botham’s apartment. Botham received a phone call about noise coming from his apartment from the downstairs neighbor.”

I remember that CB talk from the 70s. Drivers would say, 'Macon Bacon' or 'Do you smell bacon?' TheBlackAdder Sep 2018 #8

She may not have planned on shooting him but you can be sure she went there, guns loaded, etc., and demanded he do this or that

It should be 1st Degree Murder. But she's bacon, so no guarantee she'll even get convicted of disturbing the peace by shouting to open the door.

If she went to his apartment intent on a confrontation, then fired her weapon while he was unarmed, it is Premeditated Murder IMO. But my opinion seldom means much unfortunately since I generally believe in justice, and the police believe in protecting their fellow cult members, above all else. Protect & Serve? LOL!!

I use that word where appropriate. She is the example of a bad cop. The term may not be applicable to all police, but it certainly is to her.

we couldn't move, or even watch TV without a complaint from this person (and no, it wasn't loud... think 3 on a dial)... Whatever we did, she would start banging on the walls underneath. The final straw came when she called the Police on us on Thanksgiving day when were in the middle of cooking and enjoying time with about 3 family members. We literally were cooking and listening to some very light classical music on about 3. Fortunately, the police apologized and left when we told them of the constant harassment by the downstairs neighbor.

Payback came when she threw a loud underage drinking party for her teenage daughter during Xmas of that year. We returned the favor (calling the cops) because of the extremely loud party and drinking.

Fortunately, she wasn't a cop with a gun.

The story isn't important, but the similarities are... she was an 'entitled', divorced white women who resented there was a white man her age married to a beautiful black woman who lived above her.

The idea that she went there beacause she thought it was her own apartment has always seemed impossible.
