we now have about 38 years of proof that Republicans cause Deficits while Democrats reduce them
The GOP governs badly, and blames the Democrats for the problems.

(22,671 posts)3. Actually, we liberals have the same concept. The difference is that they have it backwards.
A good deficit is earned by stimulating the economy during a severe recession and millions of jobs being lost. A bad deficit is earned by giving tax cuts to billionaires when the economy id doing well because that's when you're supposed to be socking some funds away for the next downturn.
