Only a delusional mentally ill person would bring up anything so horrific. Saying he did a great job, and then blaming the mayor for the deaths is sick. Why go back to something like that? And then, start the blame game all over again. What does that have to do with anything? Bringing that up today, under current circumstances, proves that he cannot focus on today's problems and needs to be removed as soon as possible

(38,414 posts)Why? Some are seeing him for what he is: a sick mean asshole. The gradual pealing off of some of his base in my opinion is the result of his insane responses to issues. Yes, there will always be people who believe him, but over time, that is decreasing as Trump shows himself to be delusional and not focused. Off on some tangent talking about nothing.

We have our own "some can be fooled all the time" (because they insist on it) on the left also, of course. If this were just right-wing idiocy, we'd wipe the floor with idiots.

(5,810 posts)When he feels vulnerable, he fights back hard. And he feels vulnerable because one storm brings back memories of previous storms. With Hurricane Maria still fresh on peoples minds, of course, the subject of what happened in Puerto Rico comes up. So he is defending himself and his FEMA, his response to the disaster. It is all he knows to do. He cant focus on Florence for long because he is still stinging from critics of his response to Maria and P.R. And he never, ever lets an opportunity go by without ranting and raving about anything to do with himself. It is part of his pathology.
