P.J. O'Rourke was on Stephanie Ruhle .

MSNBC is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

The panel was discussing regulation of Wall Street.

His brilliant assessment was deregulation and honesty.

Then he stated honesty was in short supply.

That would leave deregulation and lying.

Then he implied that the government shouldn't be in charge of everything

during a disaster, such as repairing electric grids.

Stephen Ruhle reminded him of the private power company, with a 2 man crew, that

was initially responsible for restoring Puerto Rico's power grid.

She asked him, "How did that work out"?

Some people should never be given a public voice.

He is one of them.

He should be forced to stand on a street corner to spread his horseshit.

"The problem with capitalism is that eventually only a few people have all the money."

There is a path between those extremes.

Bad enough he's on the panel of "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" from time to time, but at least on that program there are five other people with microphones to keep him in check. With careful editing, the producers are able to get the one or two marginally funny things he says over the course of the three hour taping into the broadcast show.

But to have him on to talk about economic issues and regulations? Better you should have a hyena on to discuss quantum physics.

At least the hyena MIGHT know something. In O'Rourke's case, we already know that he knows nothing.

his libertarian Cato Institute sitting ass.

He was relevant forty years ago but whatever edge a libertarian political satirist possesses left him a while back.

A Rand Paul supporter to boot.

Anyone giving him a platform is not something I am interested in.
