A Series Of Suspicious Money Transfers Followed The Trump Tower Meeting

Secret documents reveal a complex web of financial transactions among planners and participants of the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting.

Investigators are focused on two bursts of banking activity — one shortly after the June 2016 meeting, the other immediately after the presidential election.

.....................

.......four federal law enforcement officials told BuzzFeed News, investigators are focused on two bursts of transactions that bank examiners deemed suspicious: one a short time after the meeting and another immediately after the November 2016 presidential election.

The first set came just 11 days after the June 9 meeting, when an offshore company controlled by Agalarov wired more than $19.5 million to his account at a bank in New York.

The second flurry began shortly after Trump was elected. The Agalarov family started sending what would amount to $1.2 million from their bank in Russia to an account in New Jersey controlled by the billionaire’s son, pop singer Emin Agalarov, and two of his friends. The account had been virtually dormant since the summer of 2015, according to records reviewed by BuzzFeed News, and bankers found it strange that activity in Emin Agalarov’s checking account surged after Trump’s victory.

After the election, that New Jersey account sent money to a company controlled by Irakly “Ike” Kaveladze, a longtime business associate of the Agalarovs and their representative at the Trump Tower meeting. Kaveladze’s company, meanwhile, had long funded a music business set up by the person who first proposed the meeting to the Trump camp, Emin Agalarov’s brash British publicist, Rob Goldstone.

Woodward's book notes that one of the things tRump was vocal about when news of Mueller's appointment broke was that his finances would be looked at.

So it could be that he filed but didn’t pay in anything for a large number of years. I can’t imagine that his accountants would have allowed him to skip filing completely.

Trump , like everyone else, is required to file a federal income tax return every year. This filing must be made regardless of one's liability or refund.

An accountant friend of mine has made the point that Trump's big loss will likely turn out to be fraudulent. This is one reason why he's afraid of Robert Mueller, or anyone else, looking into his finances.

Trumps statement about how he would have a big news event with Hillary trash on the Monday following the meeting fits in?

If it took 11 days to start the money movement. And the money movement implies Trump Co was paying the Russians.

Was Trump just out of the loop?

Trump thought that they would get the dirt on Hillary at the Trump Tower meeting, and that he would be able to release it on that Monday.

Payments could be timed before, after, or during the time where the information was exchanged.

Guess someone oversold (in the near term). Also implies that #fatnixon didn't know all the details. Not saying this to exonerate him in any way. Just saying maybe there are things to learn by taking the facts that unfold and matching them to the things Trump said and did

In my perfect world there'd be a conference room with a whiteboard a mile-long with multiple layers of timelines and things said and done by all involved.

we know that no information on Hillary changed hands at the Trump Tower meeting, which is why Trump never made his big presentation. The stuff from the hacked emails came out later, through Wikileaks, I thought.

No idea what the payments were actually for, but some other satisfactory arrangement must have been arrived at.

But they failed to note that Obama pretty much destroyed the offshore "industry" when he forced Switzerland to disclose account holders and when offshore "centers" in places like Panama had their client lists leaked.

What will Alfa bank say when the US demands their client lists, along with transaction lists since 2010? If they refuse, then the US will refuse to allow them to clear dollars, and they (along with their wealth) will be worthless.

It's all coming out in the wash... Quick, somebody make some popcorn!
