"Get rid of the (expletive) braille. No blind people are going to live in Trump Tower. Just do it!"

Quoted in an article in The New York Daily News by Barbara Res, formerly in charge of construction at the Trump Organization. She writes:

"The more the architect protested, the angrier Trump got. Donald liked to pick on this guy. As a general rule, Trump thought architects and engineers were weak as compared to construction people. And he loved to torment weak people.

But did he think the architect would remove the Braille from the panels? Never.

I had seen him do this kind of thing before and would again. He would say whatever came into his head. Ordering an underling to do something that was impossible gave Trump the opportunity to castigate a subordinate and also blame him for anything that “went wrong” in connection with the unperformed order later. A Trump-style win-win.

When he asked me to do something that could not be done, I often fought back, but always at a cost. Sometimes, I just did what he asked, planning for the necessary fix or damage control later."

It's really frightening how much power has been given to someone like that when so much is at stake.

"The “just do its” are getting done. And they are not directed at carpenters and painters or fan magazines. Now they’re about alienating allies, cozying up to dictators and employing dangerous nonsensical economic tactics."

He fucks with people just because he can. Because he enjoys seeing how far he can push people. How much he can torment them before they will fold. He is a sick, sick man and he belongs in a institution. Preferably prison.

That tells me that they identify with him, that if they had money & influence to act without consequence like he has his entire life, they would behave this way too. Ultimately, that's what his supporters want, to treat people like shit & get away with it. Lovely people. The best. ~insert flip-the-bird smile here

his awful books over the years. People who thought his cutthroat techniques were acceptable - lie, cheat, intimidate, and threaten. He never hid who he was, yet a large percentage of the population think this is the definition of 'success'.

I knew there were people like that, but I didn't know there were so many.

....in his office one-on-one without notice, and interrogate them for an hour or two. There were three of us - the other two went along with it because they were "local" and needed the job. Finally it was my turn, and I didn't take his shit. He'd never tangled with a NYC boy before, and I'd decided already the job was a waste and was looking for another one.

So, he asked "what about this", "what about that", hoping to trip me up or get me to grovel. Didn't work. Finally, toward the end I asked simply, "so, apparently I haven't done anything good in six months, why am I working here?" The next morning he fired me!

I should add that he had a habit of recording these sessions. Talk was that he was not good in the bedroom, so he played the tapes for his wife to show her that he was a man! Sick, sick person.

it's stunningly evident he both hasn't a clue what laws are out there, and believes that he doesn't have to follow the law.

He may think he can fight it and win. If he thinks he has a chance to challenge and win he will try it.

It is stunning to think how big his ego swells especially when you consider what a coward he is on the inside. But when he is in uncharted territory, his response is different. I still remember how meek he was when the pastor (a black female no less!) in Detroit chided him for not staying on topic when he spoke at her church and drifted out into his typical campaign rhetoric. He immediately stopped his typical talk and went back to what he was there to do. “Oh, Okay”. It was stunning to see him confronted and shrink from a fight. If I had been there I’d Have given that lady a big hug and shook her hand!

Remember when he imitated that disabled man who asked him a question in a presser? I was so proud of Meryl Streep calling him out for doing so. And then he so weakly calls our country's greatest actress "overrated."

What a goddamned POS he is...
