He told me about it when he got home. I told him that what they SHOULD have done was, at 9:05, sit and silently read "My Pet Goat" for 8 minutes with blank expressions on their faces.

But then comes Trump... and he makes Shrub look like a normal President.
WTF is wrong with our nation?

(25,586 posts)that many of the children in my daughters 4th grade class were not being sufficiently somber during a 9/11 moment a few years back. I was about to say something when another teacher reminded her that none of those kids had even been alive when the attack took place.
Its strange to feel such immediacy about an event that took place nearly two decades ago.
