Murkowski's Anchorage office phone mailbox was full

Last edited Thu Sep 13, 2018, 01:07 AM - Edit history (1)

and her DC office phone line had me on hold for 5 min. I have the feeling Alaskans are not too happy with Kavanaugh being a SCOTUS pick. Rachel Maddow just reported that the only Washington Bureau reporter in Anchorage was fired today. I wonder what is going on up there?

Please keep calling the 8 GOP and Dem senators who are "iffy". RESISTANCE WORKS! Here is the contact info for their local offices and the DC directory is (202)224-3121 Look at the link at the bottom of this post.

*The staffers have been nice to me and only one has asked if I am a constituent. I got an idea to pretend how to be a constituent and takes 3 min to do...just google "Zillow homes for sale in so and so city and so and so state". Just type in Anchorage, Alaska for example. You get an address and zip. Your cell phone number can be from anywhere. I have done this literally hundreds of times and it works.
It takes two more min to call...easy as can be. No excuse NOT to do this. There is time left and we can effect this outcome...JUST DO IT! And don't be a Dems Party defeatist! No Dem Party poopers allowed!
OUR COUNTRY IS WORTH IT!

Kavanaugh has demonstrated that he is not suitable for the Supreme Court. The process by which McConnell is attempting to ram him onto the bench is unfair. Either is sufficient reason to oppose this nominee being confirmed.

Take that 5 minutes to add your voice to the opposition to the perjuring ideologue.

You might be the final straw that saves us from decades of regressive decisions.

Is a true traitor. First he blocked disclosure of rooskie interference with the elections *before the election* when we could have done something about it, then he blocks subpoenas (along with Nunes), then he blocks voting machine upgrades, and the list goes on. Traitor to democracy! Traitors get the firing squad, in my book.

but if it gets some more calls made I don't care. We all have the same goal and it is too important to ignore, especially given the time factor.

today to thank him for committing to a NO vote. Here is his contact info.

I am still calling the Dems on the Judiciary Comm to say thanks since they need to hear support and encouragement like everyone else. Here is the page with their names. If you click on each of the Dem senators you get all their contact info.

Thanks for RESISTING!

my mouth is I've got my siblings, extended family and everyone I know will call to make the calls. So glad, too, we got a week's delay. With several cell phones in one household, I'm calling a family meeting to make this an event.

You've made Resisting this liar and thanking those committed to a no-vote exciting and satisfying

Support for RESISTING has been pretty disappointing and frustrating on this issue on this site for some reason. I have noticed a general defeatist attitude. It seems like a lot of posters already assume he is going to be confirmed so why bother making any effort to resist despite the fact that our Dem reps on the Senate Judiciary are fighting and succeeding with new condemning info on Kavanaugh on an almost daily basis. Even the MSM is reporting on their successes so I really don't get the reason for this attitude with Dems.

I DO appreciate your efforts and a few others here who recognize there is a good chance that he won't get confirmed and are fighting this along with our reps. I wish I had a large family and more cell phones to use but there are only four of us in the country right now and one of them already works for a Dem rep in DC so I can't use her cell phone. My 84 year old mom started to do it after I went to her house to use her phone but then she started reading Fear so I have to remind her to keep calling between chapters.

RESISTANCE WORKS! Thanks again!!!

it is busy, "mailbox full", "please wait to speak with a staff member" or "please leave a message". I have called literally 500 times since the election and they always have a machine on, even after hours and weekends.

it often turns out to be spam. The mailbox will often be set not to accept messages. I would assume that this can be done with pretty much any phone unless someone is still using a 1980's vintage answering machine.

Not in any way knocking your message, but I find it difficult to believe some of these GOP types even take calls from constituents any more. We see them setting up offices on private property so that they can use the police to run off protesters like Issa does regularly, or like Dean Heller has done in the past here in Nevada.

thank God. A relative works for my CA rep in DC answering phones and they have a lot of staffers there and she said that the other reps are set up the same way so I have to take her word for it.
