The little boy eternally seeking the paternal approval that will never ever come.

Donald J. Trump is a hollowed out shell of a human being, a caricature of what he 'thinks' power should be - boisterous, loud, ostentatious and rude. He is what he is because Fred Trump was an equally sick human being and what he did to his son, DOnald in turn heaped onto his own. It's a family steeped in parenting failure and personality disorder for generations, and I hate to say it but Baron is only the latest to suffer the same lack of empathy and compassion in a father too concerned with polls and appearances to ever give the one thing a child craves the most - affirmation, followed very closely by love.

But, to be incapable of introspection or reflection in the face of nearly 3,000 dead people - many of whom many NOT have died if your own actions had been more urgent or focused - is the bridge too far. If Trump continues to do what he is, not only will the GOP lose control of the Congress in 2018, they will be dragged under with him into oblivion in 2020 and may not recover for 2 generations as a coherent national political voice.

The crazy was unleashed by McCain in tapping Palin, then it was magnified by the intransient "Tea Party" (i.e. - racists to their core without the courage to admit it), and it has coalesced into the person of Trump and his many character flaws.
